Elopement Officiant Services

For couples booking an elopement with Jennifer Mummert Photography, officiant services can be added to your photography experience where legally permitted.
I am ordained through the Universal Life Church and can perform officiant services in locations where online ordination is legally recognized.
This service is designed specifically for small, intimate elopements and adventure weddings. It isn’t meant to feel like a traditional wedding ceremony with a long script, formal processional, or a large group of guests.
Instead, you’ll have space to say your own vows, exchange rings, include a meaningful reading or passage if you want, and simply be present with each other.
When you’re ready, I’ll step into the officiant role, pronounce you married, complete the required portion of your marriage license, and handle any additional paperwork included in the package you choose.
Simple. Personal. And centered completely around the two of you.
Simple, Personal & Official

How Elopement Officiant Services Work

You are responsible for obtaining your marriage license from the appropriate Clerk of Court or marriage-license office before your elopement.
Bring the valid license with you on the day of your ceremony.
From there, your ceremony can stay relaxed and personal.
You may:
- Say your own vows
- Exchange rings
- Read a favorite passage, poem, letter, or quote
- Include a short personalized element
- Take a quiet moment together before being pronounced married
Once your vows and personal elements are complete, I’ll step into the officiant role to complete the legal portion of the ceremony, pronounce you married, and sign the marriage license where I am legally authorized to do so.
Depending on your package, you can either return the completed license yourself or I can mail it back for you using trackable delivery when permitted by the issuing jurisdiction.
Marriage laws vary by location, so officiant availability and license-return procedures will always be confirmed for your specific elopement destination before booking.
